Suburbs of Our Discontent

I'm emotionally exhausted from watching the women's gymnastics in London. First, Aly Raisman missing the All-Around Medal stand by a half-breath. Then, McKayla's gasp-worthy oops-landing off the vault. Today it was Gabby's vertical waffling on the uneven bars.

I'm not sure if I can make it through the balance beam tomorrow. But it's drama, baby, drama. And I admit it: I'm eating this stuff up with a spoon. I love to laugh and cry violently within a five-minute interval.

I think that Shakespeare would have given these vulnerable maidens a very high score.
