Shakespeare at Large

And maybe I’m too young to keep good love from going wrong . . .

Excitement’s a-brewin’ about Michael Kimmel’s Jeff Buckley-infused musical adaptation of Romeo and Juliet.

I, for one, am beside myself. Jeff and William. It’s kind of like the discovery that chocolate and peanut butter go really, really well together.

In a couple of weeks I’ll give you my own (hyperventilate!) post-show report.

In an earlier post, I described the period of time I call The Great Jeff Buckley Depression. One never truly gets over something like this. But I’ll tell you what I am getting over. That would be my husband’s total pooh-poohing of the Jeff Buckley tribute that I took him to several years ago. Jeff’s mom was there and everything. My husband was “shocked” (!) at the number of people attending.

Now, that same husband will be paying good money to see Jeff artistically enhance Shakespeare. No more disrespecting JB in this house, uh-uh.
