Dear Magic Shake-Ball,
I'm really nervous about the Welcome Back! Teachers luncheon I'm helping to plan at my kid's school. Do you think we ordered enough food?
Best,
Nervous Volunteer
Magic Shake-Ball's Response:
"for when a world of men
Could not prevail with all their oratory,
Yet hath a woman's kindness over-ruled" (Henry VI part 1, 2.2.59-61)
Interpretation:
Ooooo--that's so empowering! Yes! We, the ladies who are planning the luncheon are more effective than a world of men with all their oratory. Sometimes a simple, kind gesture--like a platter full of deli wraps--is the most effective form of communication.
