Shakespeare at Large

Check out last Friday's New York Times Op-Ed piece by Stephen Marche. It's a tribute to Sen. Robert C. Byrd and his love of the Bard. He loved to quote from the plays on the Senate floor--and not just the obvious ones. Marche writes that in 1994 alone Byrd quoted from every single one of them.

Now that's the true meaning of everyday Shakespeare.

Rest in peace, Sen. Byrd.

  1. I read that piece as well - O, for the days that politicians quoted Shakespeare, instead of themselves!
