Shakespeare Takes Two of "Top Five" Slots!
Shakespeare totally kicked ass on Slate's Top Five Movies-Based-On-Plays list.
Both Orson Welles' Chimes at Midnight (1965) and Baz Luhrmann's Romeo + Juliet (1996) got the honor. I myself prefer Welles' Falstaffian love-fest to Luhrmann's gun-swagger, but maybe I just don't understand the young people these days.
