Caroline and I have finally finished our homemade Ganymede and Aliena costumes! That means we're ready to head into the woods for a crazy weekend adventure involving cross-dressing and tree carving.
We're pretending to be Rosalind and Celia, who disguise themselves as a boy (Ganymede) and a maiden (Celia) in the comedy As You Like It. I want to be Celia, but Caroline's giving me a hard time, so that's not resolved yet.
This project is our first "hands-on-outdoor" Shakespeare experiment. The idea is to get closer to the text by sharing experiences with the main characters.
