King Lear in Macao
"Which one of you ladies loves me the most, hmmm?"
Blogger Jennifer Bruni just called my attention to King Lear in The Financial Times.
The article, "Sick in Fortune", begins "If Shakespeare were alive today, he would have had a good line in business books." Apparently, casino magnate Stanley Ho (a.k.a. the Asian Lear who is NOT in a Kurosawa film) is tied up in nasty lawsuit against his kids and former wives for control over his golden slot machines.
If only Ho had read his Shakespeare, the Financial Times quips.
My thoughts exactly.
