Shakespeare at Large

Yet another snow day. Whether you're trapped in the house or voluntarily relaxing in your favorite reading chair, it's nice to remember that Shakespeare is everywhere.

Take our beautiful and talented reader Leslie Silbert, for example. Although Leslie's a best-selling novelist with a very exciting social life in NYC, she managed to create this little bit o'Shakespeare-inspired poetry while admiring her fancy sneakers:

"For never were sneakers of more slickness
Than these jewels I got myself for Christmas."

Thanks for that, Leslie!

Inspiring, isn't it?

  1. If by "very exciting social life" you mean "habit of wearing pajamas and talking to few people besides herself for days on end, with the exception of Roger Federer when he's on her tv screen, at which point cries of 'Come on, honey!' and 'Go baby go!' no doubt bug her neighbors," then yes, a most accurate description :-)
