Party Like It's 1599!
Forget Snooki and Ryan Seacrest. If you're looking for a Shakespearean way to ring in the new year (c'mon, you know you want to reuse that Tavern Wench costume you got for Halloween but you're not quite ready to make the big geek move to a Ren Fair), then consider one of the many options across America tomorrow night.
The Shakespeare Pub and Grille in San Diego has it's New Year's Eve countdown at 4p.m., and then promises bagpipes and drums. And Shakespeare's Pub in Kalamazoo is offering a NO COVER New Year's Eve. If you're in Boston, head down to Club Oberon in Cambridge to ring in the new year with The Donkey Show, a disco version of Midsummer Night's Dream complete with glittery babes on roller skates and a bondage scene that would make Will himself blush.
