Ask the Experts

Inspired by Vellum's comment on my Monday Compound W post, I started researching duct tape as a possible home remedy for wart removal. It turns out, there are actual scientific journals out there claiming an 80% success rate. Maybe. Or maybe not. I thought I'd better ask the experts about it before giving it a try on my unnamed family member's delicate skin.

So, experts, what do you think? Home remedy, or over-the-counter?

Gertrude: Well, I'm a HUGE fan of home remedies. Did you know that breastmilk has all sorts of healing properties?

Lady Macbeth: Funny, I didn't notice that with my kid.

Gertrude: Well, Hamlet certainly did. That acne of his didn't just heal itself, you know.

Lady Macbeth: I like to use a good bowl of posset myself. It always packs a punch. Like, permanently, if you get my drift.

Lady Capulet: I don't trust anything unless it comes right from the physician.

Lady Macbeth: Oh, really. And does your daughter feel the same way?

Lady Capulet: Excuse me?

Lady Macbeth: Ah-Ah- Pothecary!

Gertrude: Bless you.

Cleopatra: You know what also has amazing healing properties? Sex. I've never seen this duct tape, but I'd like to know where I could get a roll. Do you happen to know if it hurts when you take it off?

Titania: Oh, yes. Yes it does.

CB: Okay, ladies. Thanks for the advice. I think I have enough to go on now. It's been a pleasure as always.
