Suburbs of Our Discontent

Six Months and Counting!

This is an exciting day for us here at Everyday Shakespeare. Today marks six months of continuous Monday-Friday blog posting. That includes Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's Eve, Passover, kids' birthday parties, flooding basement days, final exam days, getting broken up with by pediatric dentists days, and regular old "I have nothing to say today because I'm so tired my eyeballs are searing into my frontal lobe" days.

It's been a great six months. Thank you to our commenters, our readers, and especially our 18 followers (if Michelle and I joined you, we could make up two NBA-sized basketball teams!). And thank you to Whitney Collins at Errant Parent who seems to be as crazy as we are, since she asked us to contribute a regular column starting this week: "Chicken McShakespeare: Nuggets of Wisdom from the Bard."

95% of blogs fail in the first year. I'm hoping that we can make it into that top 5%. After that, who cares? We just like to win.

  1. I didn't really have anything to add. I just felt someone needed to respond to your six-month anniversary with a "Congrats!" or even a "Keep it up! We love it!" Does this mean a Best Of Everyday Shakespeare is coming up?
