Magic Shake-Ball
Question:
Is it okay to steal my kids' Halloween candy and then lie about where I got it when they see the wrappers in the trash?
Answer:
"Teeth hadst thou in thy head when thou wast born,
To signify thou cam'st to bite the world."
(3 Henry VI 5.6.53-54)
Yeah, I'm definitely in the doghouse for this one. This is Henry VI reminding Richard Gloucester (aka Richard III, the evil, hunch-backed child-killer) that he's been a menace since day one when he came into the world with a full set of teeth. In other words, Richard's a freak of nature who was born to bite the world, and everyone knows it. I can run but I can't hide from my monstrous gluttony. Someone's always going to find the wrappers and call me on it. Man, I'm going to miss those little Crunch bars.
