Shakespeare at Large

Who knew that while I was away in my dark little hole Michelle would become such a philosopher? Frankly, I'm a little scared.

I did have moments this week— when school was cancelled and my kids had no electronics to rot their brains  enrich their precious developing minds — where I teetered on the edge of moral darkness. But I'm happy to report that I am not headed to jail.

In honor of today's "Shakespeare at Large" theme and the citizens of New York City who are suffering far more than any of us here in Boston, I offer my Hurricane Sandy-NYC-themed six degrees of Shakespeare:

1)  Hurricane Sandy made Broadway go dark earlier this week....

2) including "Spider-Man: Turn Out the Dark"....

3) a rock musical that Julie Taymor helped write (before the producers fired her)

4) Julie Taymor directed the movie Titus

5) adapted from the play by William Shakespeare

Wow. Only five degrees of separation. That Sandy really did break the mold.
