Suburbs of Our Discontent

'Twas a Monday full of glitches.

1) The Technological Realm

Class website refused to work. Even professional tech brainiacs on campus were perplexed.

2) The Financial Realm

Received phone call from vacation destination of this past weekend. My wallet is still there, enjoying itself.

3) The Organizational Realm

(see #2 above)

4) The Home Appliance Realm

Person who declared our oven fixed last week was extremely incorrect. Unless by "fixed" he meant will reek of gas when turned on and will emit said gas into my inquisitive eyeballs when I open the oven door.

I cheered myself up by thinking about a recent comment from a new co-worker: "That's so cool that you teach Shakespeare. He's like the Ferrari of Great Literature."

How would Shakespeare feel about being compared to an Italian sports car? I think this would make an excellent essay question.
