Homebaked Shakespeare

Shakespeare Maki

Ah, the things I would Homebake if only I would get off my lazy ass to do so! As always, I dream of Shakespeare-themed dinner parties and cocktails. Here's my latest brainstorming for a Japanese "Shakespeare: Lost in Translation" party.

The Shylock vs. Antonio Roll
sushi rice, ham, lobster, and gefilte fish

The Fairy King Roll
sushi rice, magic shitake mushrooms, scallion

The Richard III "Eat the Young" Roll
sushi rice, steak tartare, salmon roe, flying fish roe, smothered with other assorted roes

The Regan and Goneril "Power Bitch" Roll
brown sushi rice, gourd, seaweed salad, protein powder

The Weird Sisters Roll
sushi rice, eye of newt, Jew's liver tempura

The Titus Andronicus "Revenge" Roll
sushi rice, spicy human flesh, cucumber

  1. This is so creative from one shakespeare lover to another. I will have to replicate your fantastic menu for my own Shakespeare themed dinner party! Thanks for the inspiration!
