Interpretation:
King Henry is telling Carlisle he's free to get out of prison and start enjoying his life.
So, prison is a like a metaphor for "that Broadway show that's had lots of problems and everyone says should be shut down." Shake-Ball says that the fall was this guy's only way out of the Spidey role.
That is so harsh, Shake-Ball!
